Dearest friend,
This week I experienced something, that made me realize how precious our health is. When you work in an enviroment where you have to deal with people at the lowest moments of there life. It touches your heart and soul and the quiet truth many of us only come to understand with time: the most expensive thing in the world is not a car, a house or a luxury lifestyle- it is your health. Once it begins to slip, no amount of money can always buy back what is lost.
Taking care of your health is not about perfection. It is about doing the best you can with what you have, right where you are.
In a world that constantly pulls us toward convenience and excess, there is wisdom in returning to the basics. Nourish your body with food in its most natural form. Choose simplicity over ultra-processed options. Eat with intention—two or three balanced meals a day, allowing your body time to rest rather than constantly snacking. Small and consistent choices become the foundation of long-term well being.
Health is not only physical.
Your mental and emotional well being matter just as much. In a world that is having more mental health issues than ever. It became important to reduce unnecessary stress where you can, protecting your peace and get enough sleep so that your body and mind can truly restore themselves. Be mindful of how much time you spend on screens, and resist the trap of comparing your life to others. Comparison steals your joy and creates a false sense of not having enough.
Try to live within your means. Financial strain is one of the greatest sources of stress, and stretching beyond your capacity often costs more than money, it costs your peace of mind.
Make time for what truly matters to you. Life is not meant to be rushed through. Move your body every day, even if it is just for thirty minutes. That time is not lost, it is an investment in your future self.
Create space to reflect. Journal your thoughts and writing down what you are grateful for can ground you in the present and shift your perspective. Gratitude has a way of turning what we have into enough.
Take responsibility for your own life. Do not wait for others to make you happy. Instead, discover what makes your heart come alive and pursue it, whether or not you have company along the way. Be willing to try new things, to learn and to grow. A fulfilled life is one that continues to evolve.
Anchor yourself in faith. Life will bring storms, unexpected challenges, losses, and uncertainties. When your foundation is strong, you are not easily shaken. Faith gives you something steady to hold onto when everything else feels uncertain.
Perhaps most importantly, remember this: growing old is a privilege. There are many who will never have that opportunity. Children who never get the chance to live out their years. When you truly understand this, gratitude becomes less of a practice and more of a way of seeing the world.
Be thankful, for everything you have, whether it feels like much or little. Life can change in a moment. Nothing is guaranteed. So slow down. Take care of yourself. Appreciate the present.
In the end, it is not about having everything, it is about valuing what you already have, while you still have it.
With love,
